Temporal power is fleeting, soul power is eternal. Expanding beyond time, your soul is forever piercing higher dimensions like a ray of sunshine probing layers of mist.

Sentience, the power to think, feel, intuit, and know, is the greatest of life’s many gifts. You use it well when you follow a path with a heart and squander it when you choose to conform to things that limit your self-expression. Compromising your interests to fit into the social matrix negates your natural self-worth...when pushed to an extreme.

The magnificence of who you really are behind your name and form happens when you connect with your heart energy. It's only then that you'll discover a path that illuminates your joy, your self-expression, your true intelligence.

Various methods exist on how to contact your heart energy, to shine your heart light, ranging from spiritual exercises like meditation to simply spending time alone contemplating your life, pondering over what makes you come alive.

The heart has its own intelligence, one that may even contradict the intelligence of the educated brain.

When you look at the world through your intellect, you may discern what actions give you the best advantage, but when you look at the world through your heart--through your intuition, feeling, sensation, and memories--you come across a more honest and wholesome way of defining your direction.

Your heart-energy knows things that your brain cannot know. It has it’s own way of understanding reality and fleshing out your dream in the dense web of space-time.

While all of this may sound like poetic language, scientists have found two interesting features to the heart: The heart has brain cells and it has a powerful electromagnetic field.

The heart is much more than an organ that circulates blood through your body. It's an essential chakra, an energy pulsation, that connects your higher nature, your spiritual qualities, with your lower nature, your bodily needs.

The physical heart and the philosophic heart may be more closely connected than previously believed.

5 Questions To Awaken Your Heart

When you answer them honestly, really taking your time to think through them, by the time you get to the fifth question, you’ll have your answer.

First, if your heart led the way, where would your life go?

Second, if you listened to your heart instead of the opinions of others, what would be possible for you?

Third, if you trusted your passion and persisted in it, what abundance could emerge?

Fourth, if you chose spiritual principles over practicality, what miracles would be revealed?

And fifth, if you lived with a childlike heart, who would you become?

These question will prod you into thinking in an abundant way.

Living From Your Essence

The heart, or your intuitive response, does not make circuitous rational loops, but leaps to your greatest strength, your fondest wishes, your soul purpose without hesitation.

Your heart doesn't look at what is available but looks at what is possible. It doesn't look at what is the best thing to do but at what is the highest service you can offer others from the best that's in you.

Your heart seeks to express your innate abundance. In essence, it's your best guide to your greatest good.

When you query your life to discern a path with a heart, remember something very simple, something very basic: it pays to be yourself. Life, the universe, and even other people appreciate your authenticity.

The alternative to living from your heart, from pursuing a path with a heart, is to live the way most people live--a life of conformity to ideas they don’t fully understand or believe in. This is a life of self-betrayal, a life of quiet desperation, a life of compromised hopes and smashed dreams.

Misdirected, misinformed, and manipulated, the majority of people deny their magnificence in everything that they do. Confused by limiting falsehoods, they live with narrow minds, aware of little more than frustration and incessant struggle.

It takes courage to follow your heart. It takes courage to become aware. It takes courage to believe in intuition over logic. It's an enormous act of raw courage to declare that you’re willing to follow a path with a heart.

But if you do seize the courage, if you do dare to venture where few ever go, your world will change beyond anything you can now imagine. Your world has to change because it has no other choice.

A person focused on passion can’t abide in the doldrums of mediocrity. A person willing to follow their inner voice can’t be controlled by the opinion of others. A person who has chosen to love life can’t live in a lacklustre world.

Following a path with a heart means living from your essence, tapping into your passion, going for it whether or not you know where your talents will lead. When you open up to your passion, you open up to Spirit, the universal field of intention that supports expansion of life.

As you decide to become receptive to your innermost longing, you’ll percolate your highest energy into what you need to do.
