3 Principles To Awaken Soul Consciousness

We are here on this planet to explore higher vibrations through awakening our soul consciousness. As we explore, we transform, discovering new things about ourselves and our relationship to the world.

This process of discovery creates more understanding, and the more we understand, the more we increase our self-expression. The difference between somebody who has a limited understanding of life from somebody who has a broad understanding of life is the amplification and magnification of self-expression.

This increasing self-understanding creates increasing independence of thought and an ever growing sense of self-sovereignty.

This emergence into self-sovereignty is an isolated journey.

Collective culture does not support it at all--although at times it mimics a paternalistic tolerance for it in the form of art, literature, and music. Since art, literature, and music of the higher vibrations, as opposed to those that arise as an outbreak of popular culture, are subjective, cryptic, and almost incomprehensible to the uninitiated, they are not considered serious threats to the social order.

An independent-minded, autonomous person is not easy to control, subdue, exploit. Those who seek to discover their essence as spiritual beings are only encouraged to do this under the aegis of a spiritual organization. This limits their self-expansion in the extreme, forcing them to define their experience only in the accepted language and understanding of the spiritual group.

Those who do manage some level of autonomy either through intense study about the meaning of life, prolonged introspection about their true nature, or the pursuit of some mystical technique like meditation or contemplation find their fullest expression as they listen to the rhythms of the ancient consciousness within them, often called God.

In pursuit of God beyond the cultural definitions and indoctrination, they discover a natural state of existence free from the follies of civilization. Removed from the controlling forces of the social hierarchy, they seek the activation of embedded divine instructions.

This need to know, to connect, to identify completely with God has been seeded from the beginning of time. Everyone is in various stages of seeking to activate the embedded divine instructions.

All are destined to be successful at some point in their soul’s evolution. This despite all the false teachers, organizations, and deities they are exposed to in their incarnations.

Once a person achieves enough self-sovereignty to seek understanding and self-expression beyond biological needs, transformation begins--a yearning for direct access to the information of the divine.

However, the biological form is not where transformation can take place. The divine instructions are not embedded in the fleeting flesh, nor can they be found in the mental and emotional patterns of a person. The human instrument is not capable of transformation. It does not have the freedom to fully embrace the power of divine glory.

The embedded divine instructions--all the information necessary to connect with the divine--are found only in the higher consciousness of the person, the being behind the mask of name and form. It is only found in the essence that animates the life form. Time-space cannot yield the treasure of union. Although soul and the divine are as intimately bound as wind and air, the transformation that brings them together does not happen in the limitations of earthly life.

Stories of ascension are popular. Every tradition can name those who have attained cosmic consciousness. Although profound--and a huge leap above the human condition--enlightenment is only the initial stirring of transformation. It is touching the remote edges of true illumination and unification. It is the overwhelming relief of awakening from the animal predicaments of incarnation. Although the wisdom, bliss, and profound peace of persons who attain enlightenment is impressive, it remains just the whispering of what is possible for the soul. It is an invitation, not an arrival. It is not unification with the limitless divine. Quite simply form cannot contain the formless, the infinite cannot be held in the finite.

We can see the stars but not touch them; similarly the soul can glimpse the divine but not unify with it. While the transformation experience can be glimpsed it cannot be clearly understood. Only the soul beyond form, when it returns to wholeness and free self-expression, released from the challenges of physicality, can awaken embedded divine instructions within it. The timeless being alone can find the timeless divine.

This does not mean that the earth experience is futile. It is critical in setting the tone for transformation. It stimulates expression beyond cultural norms and awakens a hunger for emancipation from all the hardships of limitation. Encapsulated in form, the Self yearns for the formless. Stifled in self-expression, hampered by a limited self-sovereignty, the being is here for only one reason: to quicken its vibrations in its quest for ascension.

How do we quicken our souls to awaken?

The mystics offer three principles to quicken the soul, awakening it to self-knowing and preparing it for transformation beyond the thrill of enlightenment.

The first principle is developing a relationship with the divine through gratitude.

The second principle is observing the divine in all things, for everything that has the breath of life is an expression of Life itself.

And the third principle is nurturing all life as you come across it.

By applying these three principles, life experiences deepen, vibrations rise, and the journey of transformation begins.

Life is not accidental, but it is intentional and deeper than the mind can fathom. It is the journey of the soul looking for its highest and best expression. We are here not to be, do, or have anything--these are incidental. We are here for something else entirely. We are here to recognize our real identity as souls and to pick up our vibrational frequency and move on to incredible dimensions.
