How To Find Success Secrets

Although no real success secrets exist, so few people know how to be successful that it’s reasonable to believe in secrets.Success begins with a clear intention. You have to select your target. You have to keep your eye on it and move toward it. You have to keep moving toward it until you hit it. This is one of the most powerful success secrets.

Everything else related to success—principles, strategies, managing time and resources, handling novel experiences, and interpreting feedback loops--all issue from your starting point of focused attention on a specific goal.

Yet life is difficult, a complex maze of bewildering probabilities. Many things demand our attention and pull us in different directions.

Here are three secrets you can use right away.

Connect The Dots

Here is how Steve Jobs connected the dots…and created his own success secrets.

Harmonic Wealth

James Ray, who created the idea of harmonic wealth, says that true wealth has five pillars and that as you work on all five you create synergistic success. These pillars are financial, relational, physical, mental, and spiritual. In addition, you need to go 3 for 3; that is, you need to have your thoughts, feelings, and actions perfectly aligned.

Major Definite Purpose

Napoleon Hill also offers an interesting success formula. He says that success is based on achieving a major definite purpose.Success demands an almost monomaniacal obsession.

Synthesis

At first, these threes ideas appear unconnected. Jobs talks about following your heart and not settling, Ray talks about creating a synergy of 5 major life categories, and Hill talks about a sharp focus on one.

Yet, when you look at all these ideas from a broader point of view, you see how they form an elegant continuum. Here is how you can synthesize all three ideas and rapidly improve your life:

Step One: Be willing to follow your heart and intuition to become who you truly want to be.

Step Two: Choose a major goal and focus 75% of your time on it, then focus 25% of your time on your other goals, your supportive goals.

Step Three: Outline five goals in five areas of your life: financial, relational, physical, mental, and spiritual. Make one your major goal and the others your supportive goals. What primary goal becomes most important for you depends on your values. Also, your percentages may change, too. The point, however, is to select a primary goal and secondary goals. This way you can excel in one thing, master it, and still live a balanced life.

Imagine your life once you decide on a clear, positive change and begin to recover success secrets discovered by successful people?

As Wayne Dyer put it, “When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.”

Finding More Secrets

The reason so few people know about success techniques is because success is not taught as a life skill.

The reason success is rare is because it is not taught as a life skill. It is rarely, if ever, taught in homes, in schools, or in any of our cultural institutions. Where, then, do we look for success secrets? We have to rely on the examples set by successful people. This is the only place where we can find success secrets.

Success is only taught by successful role models; who teach by example, or produce literature, training, and techniques for communicating success secrets.

Success is not always related to natural aptitudes, cultivated talents, supportive parenting, impeccable timing, and the right environment. Sometimes, people with none of these options have succeeded; and, sometimes, people with all of these options have failed.

Focused attention compels the right thinking, feeling, and actions.

Success is a question of focused attention on a clear goal, the outcome of a diligent pursuit of personal growth information, and the practice of empowering principles.

When you can clearly see your goal, you have clarity of intention, and you move directly toward it and pay attention to important stuff.

Despite or because of the simplicity of the causative factor behind success very few people succeed in life. They may succeed in a few things, but, generally, looking at the overall picture, most people do not have happy, successful, and fulfilled lives.

Success is not arbitrary and based on the roll of a cosmic dice. It is, in fact, a science--because like a science, certain laws can be filtered out from the mass of experiences; and these laws can then be verified through experimentation and repetition. Success is perhaps more of a social science like Psychology rather than an exact science like Physics, but it is still a science because it has an empirical quality. Still, it does differ from other academic disciplines because it is not part of the cultural paradigm of education.

Anything you choose to be successful in requires perseverance before it manifests. You have to study and practice over and over again until you become proficient, and you have to make all sorts of mistakes because you don’t know better. Only after you learn from your mistakes can you pitch your energy, attention, and intelligence just right. Over time, after constantly readjusting your course, you begin to align more accurately with your goal. Dedication is why you need focused attention. Commitment is why you need goals.
